Time Flies!
It is interesting how time could fly so fast when you are busy. Last week, I was at a party celebrating the graduation of a son of my neighbor who just finished from the college of Medicine. The guy used to be a little boy, buying a loaf of bread from my store every morning. In that party, I also met the elder brother, who is a full pledged practicing doctor of medicine also. He got married already with one kid. The elder doctor brother of the new graduate was once a little boy, too, who we rescued from a vehicular accident during his student days some years back; an accident, which could have cost him his life. Now he is a good doctor serving humanity in three hospitals in Davao City, south of my hometown. Time really flies fast when you are busy. The speed of time ,however is so slow, when you are waiting for a 3hour brown out or power outage to be done with. In my country, a three hour daily rotating brown out is taking place, since January, due to alleged shortage of power. I just hope it has nothing to do with our much awaited election time in May, since this will be the first automated/computerized election in the country, which surely will be computerized no more, if the rotating brown out hampers its operations. Many people think it is a mind conditioning thing to thwart the efforts to eliminate cheating by computerizing the polls. Without electricity, a computer will be out of job and lo, all will be back to manual operation. Time really flies slow and fast depending upon what we are busy or not busy about. It’s interesting. It is one of those God given gifts that mankind has to enjoy and to thank for everyday. A fast and slow moving time in various respects and circumstances.
