Effective Speaking!
In the 1930’s, during a great depression, a newpaper advertisement that read, “Increase your income, Learn to speak effectively, prepare for Leadership”, sent 2,500 people to attend an hour and a half evening course in “Effective Speaking and influencing men in business” in a Hotel in New York, according to Dale Carnegie’s book. But, that’s not the only interesting part. Today, after over seventy years (seven decades) , that same newspaper ad, remains true to its content, that learning to speak effectively increases ones income, and is much needed to prepare for Leadership. Moreover, it is also true that those who are handicapped in effective speaking, rarely influence men in business and may not even win the job or business ,that they desire the most.
